Students aren’t the only ones who have been longing for this year’s half term. We have a couple of rough months behind us and both children and parents are excited about the fact that now children will have some free time that allows them to spend time with their families. What is even better is that everything is slowly but steadily reopening, giving more space and ideas for a great family afternoon apart from board games and watching a film together at home. Outdoor activities

The ongoing pandemic and cold weather were not really on our side lately, outdoor activities were quite difficult to make. However, with the government’s reopening schedule and the arrival of good weather, we get to breathe some fresh air and spend some quality time with each other while doing outdoor activities. If you feel adventurous, take your family for a hike somewhere around the city. For a more casual afternoon, pack a basket with some snacks and organise a family picnic in a nearby park. Don’t forget to bring a ball or a badminton kit to play with and just enjoy the active relaxation.

Backup plans for rainy days

It is best to have backup plans for rainy days and look around what to do inside as well. New exhibitions in different museums keep popping up, there are a lot of interactive ones as well, for football fans we recommend a visit to the National Football Museum. Arcades are also open if you fancy playing games, table tennis, air hockey, bowling, you can pick from a great variety of options. For a more active time with the family, it is worth visiting a trampoline park, especially if you have younger children.
